Photography in Cheshire A Wedding Day We Will Remember Forever

Louise and Gary had been friends for sometime, when in January 2017, Louise was sadly diagnosed with cancer, but by the following June, she had the good news that she’d beaten the disease.  It was then, that Louise and Gary’s friendship grew, which later developed into the loving relationship they have today.  Louise, referring to her illness and treatment, told us “I couldn’t have done any of it without Gary!”

Earlier this year, on 4th January, Louise contacted us, asking if we were free on 25th October to photograph their wedding and she went on to book our top of the range package. Not many weeks later, on 3rd February, brave Louise contacted us again to say that she’d had some dreadful news and she’d been diagnosed with secondary lung cancer!  Despite being given a terminal diagnosis, Louise was adamant to walk down the aisle to marry the love of her life!  They really wanted to prove their love for each other, but obviously time was no longer on their side, so they brought their wedding forward to 1st March 2020.

We were photographing a wedding until 9pm the day before in Kent, but managed to travel the 300 miles back to the Cheshire countryside, in time to capture Louise’s bridal-prep, which took place in The Luxury Dressing Suite at their dream venue Wrenbury Hall, near Nantwich.

Gary is self-employed and owns his own company Rainbow Blinds.  It was through Gary’s hard work that he was able to give Louise, the wedding day, which lot of girls only ever dream of, and it was for this reason, that Louise wanted Gary’s Work Van to feature in the wedding!

As family and friends filled the ceremony room, a nervous Gary waited for his best friend to appear!  Gary struggled to hold back the tears, but at the same time, he looked so unbelievably happy, as he saw that first glance of his beautiful bride.

Louise & Gary’s wedding was arranged in just three weeks, although it appeared that planning and preparation had been ongoing for years.  Everything was just perfect!

Louise had forewarned us, there would understandably be lots of tears, which there was, but there was also lots of happiness too! It was a bittersweet day, with lots of family and friends sharing their special moment, one which we felt very honoured to be part of!

The bride and groom sat down during the ceremony, and saying their vows proved to be the hardest part of the day for both of them, emotion ran high, tears flowed freely within the room.  Even the registrars and us as photographers were moved to tears!

Following the ceremony, we were able to take some lovely photos of the bride and groom along with their guests, and then it was onto the wedding breakfast in the glamourous Orangerie. Once the bride and groom had been welcomed as Mr & Mrs Beamon, we left the wedding party for them to enjoy their food and relax without any interruptions.

It was at this point that Neil, the Events Manager informed us of a surprise they had in store for the bride.  Louise really wanted Singing Waiters to be a part of their wedding, but the cost was a little more than their budget would allow, so although disappointed, Louise decided it was something they could do without. Davinia the MD of Wrenbury Hall, who was aware of Louise’s disappointment, arranged for Undercover Artists Singing Waiters to be in attendance.  Gary knew all about it, but it was a complete surprise for Louise, and the look on her face said it all!  She literally glowed during their entertainment, it seemed to really uplift her spirits and her smile was radiant the whole way through!

Wrenbury Hall’s team of staff were amazing, they certainly made the day for Louise & Gary!  Peter the Toast Master, Neil the Events Manager, along with the waiters and waitresses, all joined in the dancing and fun, as Louise and Gary smiled and laughed the whole way through!

Louise works for Blue Bell in Crewe, and they had arranged for another surprise during the evening. The UK Firework Company, put on a fabulous firework display, which proved a perfect romantic photo opportunity. Thanks must go to Louise’s bridesmaid Darrelle, who also works for Blue Bell, as she was heavily involved with organising this wonderful surprise.

Seeing Louise & Gary together is like watching a romantic movie, there’s so much love and tenderness between them. Their inner strength has proved incredible, it’s obvious they are perfect soulmates for each other!

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Louise & Gary for choosing us as their wedding photographers and including us in their special day.  We'd also thank Davinia and her dedicated team at Wrenbury Hall for making us so welcome, we thoroughly recommend their complete bespoke service, it really is second to none!

We obviously photograph many weddings, all unique in their own way, but this is one which will stay in our hearts forever!

Cheshire Wedding a Beautiful, Intimate Ceremony

Wedding Photography Nantwich Cheshire - Who? Where?

Rachel & Stephen’s Wedding was originally intended to take place in front of lots of family & friends at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich, and then onto a wedding reception and party at Nantwich Football Club. But unfortunately, Covid-19 put paid to those original plans! However, Rachel & Stephen were determined nothing was going to prevent them getting married, not even a pandemic could stop them!

[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="1393" gal_title="Rachel & Stephen-1"]

The wedding plan...

Instead of the large affair, which was originally planned, it was a small, intimate wedding, still at St Mary’s Church, but with just 30 guests and then instead of the wedding breakfast and party, it was to the The Crown Hotel in Nantwich for a meal and drinks.

Rachel arrived early to the Church, but that didn't matter, as it meant she was able to spend a little more time with her father in the 1948 Black & Ivory Bentley from Barry and Barry Classic Cars while she waited for Stephen and his best man to arrive!

The groom and his best man

With the groom arriving a little later than anticipated, unfortunately we were unable to capture the usual shots of him and the bestman outside of the Church before the ceremony, but we did manage a couple of photos of Stephen inside the Church. He looked very dapper indeed, wearing his bespoke handmade suit from Papa’s Tailoring! We were also able to capture some more photos of the groom and bestman outside the Church, after the ceremony too!

The bride's stunning appearance!

The moment Rachel stepped out of the car, we could see how stunning her wedding dress was, she looked a million dollars! The three bridesmaids also looked stunning in their pretty blue dresses, which were complimented by the Mother of the Bride’s lovely blue outfit too!

The special moments...

Facemasks were required in church, but could be dispensed of once outside.  The only ones to escape mask free, were the bride, bride’s father, groom, vicar and at times, the bridesmaids.  Hand sanitiser was available on entry and exit to the church, which meant everyone felt safe and comfortable whilst inside.

The wedding was just perfect, the current unforeseen circumstances made it a little more intimate than originally planned, but that seemed to make it even more special, and it still had it all -  the ceremony, the flowers, the confetti and all the emotion of a big wedding, but shared with a select thirty friends and family!  The only thing missing from a usual church ceremony, were the hymns, as singing breaks Covid19 regulations, but that didn’t matter at all, as we’re sure that everyone who attended, genuinely enjoyed the ceremony and it was a huge pleasure seeing Stephen & Rachel become Mr & Mrs Sherriff!

[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="1390" gal_title="Rachel & Stephen-5"]

Congratulations again, to them both!

A Wonderful Wedding at One of Cheshire’s Finest Venues

A Wonderful Wedding at One of Cheshire's Finest Venues

Capesthorne Hall is magnificent, undoubtedly one of Cheshire’s finest wedding venues.

Prior to Claire & Simon’s wedding, we carried out our usual reccy of the venue.  As soon as we turned up the long driveway, the views were breathtaking.  The beautiful gardens and the lake are so picturesque, no wonder this venue has been used in various films/tv shows.

When we asked Claire & Simon why the venue appealed to them, they replied: “We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it, especially the location, surroundings and it had a beautiful option for an outside ceremony next to the lake.”  It also has family connections for Claire, as her Dad used to enjoy fishing and attending angling working parties there, before he emigrated to France.

Claire & Simon met at High School, they’ve been friends for over 23 years and were in a relationship for 3 years before they married.

Simon got down on one knee, whilst walking around the lake at Claire’s parents in France on New Year’s Day 2017.

On the day of their wedding, Claire chose to arrive at the venue with her hair and make-up already done. Following a few natural photos, we left Claire with her bridesmaids so they could get dressed for the occasion, while we went outside into the grounds, to photograph Simon and his future stepsons.

With it being a March wedding, we knew the weather could be unpredictable, especially as we’d photographed a wedding just one week previous and experienced snow and very cold winds.  However, as luck would have it, Claire and Simon’s wish came true and they were able to hold their ceremony outside in the lakeside gazebo.

Claire & Simon didn’t see each other before the wedding and kept the tradition of spending the night before the wedding apart. Claire said it was a very special moment when she walked upto the gazebo and saw Simon waiting for her! Claire looked absolutely amazing in her wedding dress.  On speaking to Simon, he told us that Claire cried when she first tried it on, not that we’re surprised, as she looked ‘a million dollars’!

As Claire and her Dad walked up the gravel path to the gazebo, Claire’s garter slipped down her leg, causing them both to giggle. As they reached the guests, Claire lifted her dress and flicked her garter to some friends, asking them to keep it safe until later!

Claire’s most memorable moment of the day was during their service, when their ‘sand ceremony’ took place, which symbolised the two families being joined as one! Simon said his memorable moment was saying ‘I do’ for the first time, to the woman he loves and adores so much!

Once the ceremony was over, it was time for the group and couple photos and with Capesthorne Hall being such an incredible venue, we were spoilt for choice, so we decided to use several different picturesque backdrops.

Because of the time of year, the grass was a little soft and damp, which caused one of the guests to get her heel stuck in the grass and tumble over. Thankfully there was no damage done, and Simon thought it highly amusing!

Claire and Simon put their own personal touch to their wedding, and handmade various items, their favourites being the table plan and table centres.

The beautiful bridal bouquet complimented the wedding cake perfectly.  The soft green colour scheme, together with the green surroundings of the venue, made for some very beautiful wedding photos.

During the wedding breakfast, we felt very honoured, as we were invited to sit with the guests for the meal, which was amazing!

This was followed by the usual Father of the Bride and Groom speeches, but then there was one speech that we’ll never forget, which also surprised the bride & groom, it was by Claire’s eldest son Jamie, he had most of the guests in tears, including us, with his heartfelt and emotional comments!

The evening celebrations began with the traditional 1st dance to ‘Running Home to You’ by Grant Gustin, to the applause of all the guests.

We can’t express how much we both enjoyed being part of this wedding, it was perfect in every way! Thank to Claire & Simon for entrusting us to be your photographers and including us in your special day as you did!

In Sickness and In Health PJM Wedding Photography

IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and of course, you want everything to be as perfect as possible, just like you’ve always dreamt of, but sometimes things don’t go quite to plan, maybe your venue isn’t exactly as described, your flowers aren’t quite the right colour or the DJ plays the wrong song for your first dance, but unfortunately for Cate & Ryan, their vows of “in sickness and in health" became a reality much sooner than planned!

Things started off really well for the groom on his wedding day.  As you can see Ryan and his groomsmen arrived at the fabulous Crewe Hall, all looking very dapper in their wedding attire.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="1171" gal_title="Blogg Cate and Ryan Wedding-1"]

Following the arrival of the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids, we climbed the stunning staircase of Crewe Hall and entered the library, in readiness for the wedding ceremony. With Pete photographing at the front of the Library and June at the back, everything was going really well, and the vows had just begun. As most of us realise, it’s completely normal to get an attack of wedding nerves, but unfortunately it was a bit more than nervousness for the poor groom!  With Ryan now looking extremely pale, the registrar and the best man were quick to react and managed to catch Ryan before he collapsed. Ryan was lead into the next room for some privacy, but after a while, the guests were informed that an ambulance had been called.

After 55minutes of concern, we started to wonder if the wedding would actually take place, but with his fighting spirit, Ryan was given the all clear to continue, so with the bride and groom now seated and with a change of registrar, as the original officiator had to leave for another wedding, the ceremony got underway again.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="1172" gal_title="Blogg Cate and Ryan Wedding-2"]

Cate had previously informed us, the main reason they’d booked Crewe Hall, was for the marvellous photo opportunities.  On knowing the venue quite well, we knew there was a fabulous photo opportunity on the staircase, so with the bride and groom in place, we were ready to snap away, however it soon became obvious that Ryan still wasn’t well, and he almost collapsed again! With the groom being well looked after, we continued with just a few photos of the bride and her bridesmaids.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="1173" gal_title="Blogg Cate & Ryan - 3"]

On arrival at Byley Village Hall for the Wedding Breakfast, it became apparent that Ryan was very poorly and he was taken back to the hotel, to rest and recuperate. Cate was obviously very upset, but she carried on, helped by her loving family & friends, and somehow, amidst her tears, she even managed to raise a few smiles.

Although Cate and Ryan’s Wedding didn’t turn out to be the fairy-tale day they’d dreamt of, the most important thing is, they are now a very happy Mr & Mrs!!

Following the wedding, we were so disappointed for Cate & Ryan because they hadn’t got the photos they'd hoped for, so during the days that followed, we secretly co-ordinated a plan… We wanted to offer Cate and Ryan a free bride and groom photoshoot, so we contacted Crewe Hall and asked if we could return for the shoot.  We also contacted Moss Bros, and on explaining the circumstances, they very kindly agreed to loan Ryan his suit again, free of charge.

With our plan coming together, we couldn’t wait to tell Cate and Ryan the news!  They were absolutely thrilled, so we got a date in the diary and Cate also got her wedding dress cleaned. Unfortunately, we hit a bit of a stumbling block, when we found out that Crewe Hall wasn’t unavailable for the day of the photoshoot, so we got our thinking caps on again, and came up trumps!  Reaseheath College kindly agreed that we could use their stunning grounds.

On the day of the shoot, unfortunately it started to rain, however, we managed to get a few colourful autumnal shots.  Thankfully, the college allowed us to use Reaseheath Hall, their wedding ceremony room, so as you can see, everything ended ‘Happily Ever After'![Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="1176" gal_title="Blogg Cate & Ryan RH - 4"]

Thanks to Cate for her very kind words…

“So today I want to say a huge thank you to Pete and June  from PJM Photography.. As most of you know with Ryan falling ill on our Wedding Day, we didn't get to take photos together. Pete and June have gone above and beyond as photographers, firstly by offering to take photos for us, June also arranged with Moss Bros for them to loan us Ryan's suit for free and when Crewe Hall were unavailable for us to take replacement photos, she arranged with Reaseheath College for us to use their premises. We are both overwhelmed with gratitude for the help we have received and I could not recommend PJM Photography more for all your photography needs, they are so helpful, kind and patient and I really can't thank everyone enough for all their help.”
